Simply, meditation is sitting in stillness with an intentional focus such as breath awareness, affirmations or manifestations. Meditation is fittingly referred to as a practice as the chaos of life can create barriers in the mind that prevent us from fulling experiencing a state of consciousness. During meditation, the mind is awake and active, yet focused on the intention. As the mind begins to enter a state of awareness, the physical body begins to drift off into rest.
Meditation has many benefits such as promoting peace, calmness and clarity. Beyond releasing the worry, anxieties and fears of the mind, meditation can release the tension in our physical body by clearing blocked energy in areas such as the shoulders, hips and even in the digestive tract.
OP Yoga meditation classes consist of breath awareness, gentle movement and guided, intention-led stillness. As you sit in stillness, it is normal for thoughts to arise and the body to get antsy. There is no secret to "clearing the mind" in meditation and calmness takes practice, especially in times of stress. Reiki is a gentle and loving channel to release old energy that is not serving your highest potential. Old energy weighs us down physically, mentally and emotionally and manifests as inflammation, stress and unhappiness. Reiki meet your ailments at the root and gently draws it out to make more room for peace.
Reiki appointments begin with connecting and getting clear on your intention for healing through a brief discussion. If this is your first session, we will spend time going over the process of your healing appointment. You can then choose to receive Reiki seated or laying down on the Reiki table. Halina will walk you through a short, guided relaxation then the Reiki session will begin.
Reiki is performed with and without touch. Halina communicates with the signs your physical, mental, energetic and spiritual bodies share with her and facilitates healing by use of energy shifting, physical postures, vocal expression and intuitive communication.
During your session you may experience changes in temperature, twitching, images and colors coming into your vision, deep thoughts, muscle tightness/relaxation and/or an urge to move. This is your mindbody's natural response to the energy that is shifting, opening and releasing as the healing energy flows. Emotional releases may present themselves. Know that you are held in a safe and protected space.
In addition to in-person, Reiki can also be transmitted at a distant. It's similar to the feeling you get when your best friend calls you from across the country. That energy, that love is present, even if the other person is not in the same physical space.

Custom private session that marries the physical restoration of Yoga with the energy healing of Reiki. We will use intentional Yoga postures to access the physical aspect of each energy center as healing energy flows and releases old energy (fear, worry, stress) and replaces it with harmony, peace and wholeness.
