No Fluff, Just Simply Recipes

I love yoga, I love meditation and I LOVE food! I believe in full body wellness and what better way to support the bodies than with nutritious and delicious meals. 


We are taught in school that food gives us energy, right? Well, as an energy-worker and lover of nutrition, I still believe this whole-heatedly. Further, believe that there is energy that serves us and energy that drains us. The food we put in our bodies does just that; it can either enhance or deplete the positive or negative energies within us. 


Personally, I've suffered from chronic anxiety most of my life. It wasn’t until I dug into food allergies and gut health with a naturopathic doctor that I was able to learn how my body responded to the food I was eating. It wasn’t enough to eat my old version of healthy (if it says organic it must be good for me!). I needed to take charge of my diet and develop my relationship to the food I was ingesting. 


Through my journey of elimination diets, supplementing, gut cleansing, and parasite removal (is it odd that I get excited about poop tests???), I was able to reach a point of comfort, balance and understanding of how MY body reacts to certain foods. Including which foods are anxiety inducing! I’ve learned so much and enjoy the new sense of power I’ve been able to take back when it comes to my health.


The good news is, health is what YOU make it. You do not need to go on extensive diets, cutting out gluten/sugar/processed foods/preservatives/artificial ingredients…Small changes in your diet go a long way and compound to make full and healing lifestyle changes. My hope for you is simply that you love YOU and the body that supports your purpose on this Earth. 


My intention for “Simply Recipes” is not only to provide you with easy recipes, but to take out the fluff seen on many food blog websites (nothing to scroll through here!). I don’t feel you need to know my life story on why I chose to make these awesomely delicious waffles. I just like them! And I’d like to share them with you! That’s it. 


I believe in eating “close to the farm” so all recipes are 90-100% from scratch.  This is how I know I’m blessing my body with the most nutrients possible so that I can continue to live and serve in my purpose.


P.S. Sugar and gluten is a big no-no when it comes to anxiety and gut health so ALL recipes are sans refined sugar and GF!!!
